SaveLock Compression Sleeve Demonstration with Asif M Ilyas, MD
Part of the Hand Fracture System, the SaveLock Compression Sleeve serves two functions: to keep the 2.3 mm and 1.5 mm Hexalobe MultiScrews on the driver tip and to compress the plate to the bone when inserting the screw. The sleeve is threaded over the screw head only and prevents these threads from engaging the plate when inserting the screw shaft into the bone. Dr. Asif Ilyas demonstrates the use of the SaveLock Sleeve in this video.
Surgical Approaches to Proximal Phalangeal Fractures Using a Curved Medial-Lateral Plate with Asif M Ilyas, MD
The Hand Fracture System is designed to surgically treat various metacarpal and phalangeal fractures, fusions, and osteotomies, and includes five solutions in one tray. In this video, Dr. Asif Ilyas demonstrates common approaches to the proximal phalanx.
Surgical Approach to Rolando Fractures with Asif M Ilyas, MD
The Hand Fracture System is designed to surgically treat various metacarpal and phalangeal fractures, fusions, and osteotomies, and includes five solutions in one tray. The 1.3 mm Rolando Fracture Hook Plate is designed for a three-part fracture pattern at the base of the first metacarpal. In this video, Dr. Asif Ilyas demonstrates the use of the 1.3 mm Rolando Fracture Hook Plate to address such fractures.
Surgical Approach to Boxer’s Fracture with Asif M Ilyas, MD
The Hand Fracture System is designed to surgically treat various metacarpal and phalangeal fractures, fusions, and osteotomies, and includes five solutions in one tray. The 1.3 mm Metacarpal Neck Plate is designed to provide fixation for metacarpal neck fractures, or Boxer’s Fractures, and has three distal pointing converging screws to provide metacarpal head fixation. In this video, Dr. Asif Ilyas demonstrates the use of the 1.3 mm Metacarpal Neck Plate to address such fractures.
Metacarpal Fracture Treatment Using the Offset Plate with Robert Bass, MD
The Acumed Hand Fracture System is designed to surgically treat various metacarpal and phalangeal fractures, fusions, and osteotomies and includes five solutions in one tray. In this video, Dr. Bass demonstrates the use of a Metacarpal Neck Plate to treat a metacarpal fracture.
Hand Fracture System Cadaveric Lab Part 1: System Overview and Design Rationale
Randy Bindra, MCh Orth, MS Orth, FRCS, is a fellowship-trained hand surgeon, board certified in orthopaedic surgery, and a designing surgeon of the Acumed Hand Fracture System. In this video, Professor Bindra provides an overview and some of the design rationale of the Hand Fracture System. Read More
Hand Fracture System Cadaveric Lab Part 2: Rolando Fracture Hook Plate
Professor Randy Bindra, MCh Orth, MS Orth, FRCS, demonstrates the approach and implantation of the Rolando Fracture Hook Plate, one of the specialty plates in the Acumed Hand Fracture System. The 1.3 mm Rolando Fracture Hook Plate is designed for a three-part fracture pattern at the base of the first metacarpal. Read More
Hand Fracture System Cadaveric Lab Part 3: Curved Medial Lateral Plate
Professor Randy Bindra, MCh Orth, MS Orth, FRCS, demonstrates the approach and implantation of the Curved Medial/Lateral Plate, one of the specialty plates in the Acumed Hand Fracture System. The Curved Medial/Lateral Plate is designed to address diaphyseal fractures and distal phalangeal fractures when a medial or lateral approach is preferred. Read More
Hand Fracture System Cadaveric Lab Part 4: Avulsion Hook Plate
This video demonstrates the approach and implantation of the Avulsion Hook Plate, one of the specialty plates in the Acumed Hand Fracture System. The 0.8 mm Avulsion Hook Plate is designed to provide more stability than a K-wire when a fragment is too small for a single lag screw. Read More
Hand Fracture System Overview
This animated overview of the Hand Fracture System illustrates how the system is designed to surgically treat various metacarpal and phalangeal fractures, fusions, and osteotomies. Precontoured standard plates, specialty plates, Hexalobe MultiScrews, Hexalobe Lag Screws, and external fixation devices provide multiple surgical options for the hand.
